Drip irrigation is the training of applying small amounts of water and fertilizer uniformly across a exact area. The water and fertilizer are distributed directly to the crop root zone, removing runoff, evaporation, and drift. A correctly designed and managed drip irrigation system gives producers the finest uniformity and presentation efficiency available, consequently saving them time, energy, and water, all while maximizing yields. Drip irrigation, is the arrangement in which water is frequently and slowly applied directly on the harvest root zone. The idea of this irrigation system is to water only the root zone instead of the entire field surface, thus making water content of the crop root zone at the optimum level. In a drip irrigation system, water is applied under the pressure, dripping one drop at a time through the small emitters. Water can also be sprayed as a fine mist over a portion of field’s surface or bubbled onto the soil in small streamlets.
